Literacy

Reading and writing is important at Prescott!  Pre-K students listen to stories, draw pictures, and trace letters. TK students write their names, identify letters, and name the parts of a book. K-5 students write stories, read to their peers, and borrow library books.

At Prescott, we use project-based learning and a culturally responsive approach so that our  students learn and grow. We also have on-site tutors and community partners who also support literacy. This way students have the tools they need to succeed and love reading and writing!
